A Walk through Pondicherry’s Streetscapes

EXHIBITION: 28 January – 1 February 2019, 4:30 pm – 7:30 pm  |  Ashram Exhibition Hall, 1 Rangapillai Street, Beach Road Entrance

If you have an eye for the special charms of Pondicherry’s architecture and streetscapes, then you should contribute your best photographs to this special exhibition.  Festival organizers will select one hundred of the photos submitted for public display in the Ashram Exhibition Hall; and a grand prize winner will be selected on the final day of the show.

Whether or not you contribute an image, be sure to attend the exhibition.

Groves of Aiyaṉār / Les bosquets sacrés d’Aiyaṉār

31 January 2019, 5:30 pm, and 9:00 am – 5:00 pm until 28 February, closed Sundays  |   Ecole française d’Extrême-Orient, 19 Rue Dumas

This photo exhibition captures the shrines of Ayyanar, a pre-Vedic deity who has been syncretized into both Vishnuite and Shivaite traditions, which feature terracotta icons of Ayyanar’s horse.

Follow the trail to find great treats on the streets of Pondy! Iconic Street Food and Small Eateries popular for their unique taste for over 50 years. This is a special guided trail on the 7th and 8th of February led by Food blogger Edwin of Eat Pondy.

World Wetlands and Climate Change

EXHIBITION: 2 – 28 February 2019  |  Institut Français de Pondichéry, 11 Rue Saint Louis Street

Our wetlands are a crucial defense against many of the ravages of climate change.  This photo competition is your chance to show the world your appreciation for the unique importance and beauty of these imperilled ecosystems.  Festival organizers will select photo entries for public display at the IFP Exhibition Hall; and a grand prize winner will be announced at the opening of the show.

Whether or not you contribute an image, be sure to attend the exhibition.
